BSW Data Hall Expansion – Phases 1 & 2
The Baylor Scott & White Data Hall Expansion encompasses a 5,000 SF buildout designed to increase capacity, efficiency, and system reliability within the facility’s critical operations. The project involved complete demolition to a white box condition, followed by the installation of a new raised floor system and an acoustical ceiling tile (ACT) grid, along with updated drywall and finishes throughout the space.
Mechanical improvements feature the addition of 10 new CRAC units, each complete with corresponding condensers, new refrigeration piping, and insulation for optimized cooling performance. The project also introduced four new CRAH units integrated with the facility’s existing chilled water plant, ensuring robust temperature and humidity control.
Electrical upgrades were extensive, incorporating four new HVAC panels, two power distribution units (PDUs), and twelve rack power panels (RPPs) to support the enhanced mechanical load and future data infrastructure. The installation of 3 hot aisle containment systems further improves cooling efficiency and energy management within the expanded data hall.
