Catalayah Elementary School
The new school totals 64,950 square feet and includes two FEMA rated storm shelters, a cafeteria and a full-service kitchen. A regulation-sized gymnasium includes an exposed tectum roof, removable stage and state-of-the-art scoreboard. The HVAC system incorporates a geothermal ground loop-type system with heat pumps for an economical and environmentally friendly building. The structure is on a 15-acre tract at the city limits of Claremore.
Key Construction was the Construction Manager and overall Program Manager for the Claremore Public Schools’ $44 million bond program.
