Key Construction has completed two Heartland Cardiology facilities, a 43,000-square-foot facility in Wichita, Kansas, and a 8,200-square-foot facility in Derby, Kansas.
Wichita, KS: The 43,000-square-foot multi-story medical office building includes 46 exam rooms, nurse’s stations, imaging and diagnostic rooms. The structure is tilt-up wall and structural steel and contains a 3,000-square-foot weather shelter area. The building has a VRF mechanical system with integrated temperature controls, elevators, a large architectural porte-cochere and physician covered parking on a 4.5-acre site.
Derby, KS: The new design-build, 8,200-square-foot medical, multi-tenant lease building is designed with expansion capabilities. The building is constructed using a complete light gauge frame and includes a 200-square-foot “safe” area with hardened features to better protect against storms. The building includes a 4,200-square-foot clinic space for Heartland Cardiology with eight exam rooms, a nurse station, imaging and diagnostic rooms. Two additional tenants will fill the remainder of the building.
